Conducted awareness program on the importance of organic cultivation of Ashvagantha

Conducted awareness program on the importance of organic cultivation of Ashvagantha – அமுக்கிரா கிழங்கு – among ALHSS school students in Sevapur today being Sunday afternoon 9th April 2023 at 2.45 PM.

Students learnt about botanical name, local vernacular names, seeds, roots, shoots and leave growth of Ashvakantha and importance of medicinal herbs Ashvakantha. Further learnt about the seasons for cultivation Ashvakantha and also growing area in India.

Students also visited Ashvakantha organic cultivation Field ( 40 days Crop) in Sevapur Tamil Nadu

Today being Sunday Students also learnt about Seed processing and Ashvakantha seed ball (MBALLS) preparation in Sevapur

Ashwagandha is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, which is a traditional form of alternative medicine based on Indian principles of natural healing.

Withania somnifera (Ashawagandha) is very revered herb of the Indian Ayurvedic system of medicine as a Rasayana (tonic). It is used for various kinds of disease processes and specially as a nervine tonic.
